10 steps to clear your mind
Does your mind sometimes feel like a television station that you can't fine tune? You know there's one interesting program - or several, but everything is mixed with static. What if you could "tune in" as you wish, have a clear mind whenever you want? Try some of the following.
Ten Clear Thinking Techniques and Tips
1. Take a walk.
Science will eventually prove this to be a great way to improve the quality of your thinking, but don't wait for proof. Aren't there enough other reasons to take a walk anyway?
2. Stay away from sugar.
If you guys want to understand what brain fog is, eat a sweet donut on an empty stomach, then after ten minutes do maths questions. What you guys will experience with the "sugar blues" is brain fog. Minimize sugar and skip simple carbohydrates at all when you need to think clearly.
3. Organized space means clear thinking.
It is rare that a person can actually function better in disarray. Organized work space means you won't have the thought "where is that..." distracting your mind.
4. Get better sleep.
Sleep requirements vary, but the minimum is around five hours for most. Some suffer if one sleeps less than eight hours. Research, however, indicates that after a certain minimum amount, sleep quality is more important for normal brain function.
5. Try to meditate.
If you don't have time? So just close your eyes, relax, and feel your breath for a while. Accept that your mind will wander, but continually return your attention to your breath. Five minutes of this, and later you guys will feel your brain power increase.
6. Resolve Your "Brain Burning".
Watch your busy brain. Maybe a call you need to make is troubling you, right down to consciousness. Address these stressors, and make some effort to let them go. For example, call that one, or put it on a list, and your mind will let it go for now. Simply seeing a problem and saying, "I can't do anything about it until Friday," will often stop worrying unconsciously.
7. Do not drink alcohol.
At least don't drink too much. While moderate amounts may be conducive to creative thinking, all the evidence says it is bad for the long-term health of your brain.
8. Make quick decisions.
Nothing gets in the way of clear thinking like a dozen decisions left unattended. If nothing else, decide when you make the decision.
9. Get some fresh air.
Go outside and take a deep breath through your nose. You'll get a good dose of oxygen to your brain, and a change of environment can help clear your mind.
10. Meet your physical needs.
Clear thinking is much easier if you are not too hungry, thirsty or hot.
From today you can think more clearly. There are more than ten ways, of course, but you really need to make a habit of having a more powerful brain some of them. Why not try one or two now?
